Post-Doctoral Positions, Columbia University Medical Center Funded positions are available in the Shen laboratory to investigate the molecular mechanisms of pattern formation and cellular differentiation in mouse embryonic development and how these processes are disrupted during cancer progression. Successful applicants will pursue studies in areas that include: 1) Cell-type specification and axis patterning in mouse embryogenesis, focusing on TGFbeta signaling pathways and stem cell differentiation, and 2) Prostate organogenesis, regeneration, and carcinogenesis in mouse models, focusing on the roles of prostate epithelial stem cells. Expertise in developmental biology, stem cell biology, imaging, and/or cancer research is highly desirable.
